Syed A. Jamal Bokhari is a Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging and Surgery (Trauma) at the Yale School of Medicine. He serves as Medical Director of Emergency Radiology and Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program. His clinical expertise spans emergency and pediatric radiology, with a focus on imaging techniques like CT, ultrasound, and angiography. He pioneered Yale’s 24/7 in-house radiology program and innovative residency education initiatives.
Education: MBBS from Army Medical College (1984), postgraduate diploma in computer sciences, and research fellowships at the University of Cincinnati. Completed radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at Yale.
Research Interests: Emergency imaging protocols, trauma radiology, and medical education. He emphasizes quality metrics in imaging and novel educational paradigms for trainees.
