معرفی
Sweta is an ex-employee affiliated with the Department of Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus, within the Faculty of Biological and Veterinary Sciences. Her research focuses on environmental microbiology, biotechnology, and microbial ecology, particularly in contexts such as technosoil microbiology, plant-microbe interactions under stress conditions, and membrane technologies for environmental applications.
Her work encompasses the study of nitrogen-fixing bacteria, salt-tolerant diazotrophs, and their roles in mitigating agricultural stress. She has also developed innovative methods for bacterial detection and water quality assessment using membrane-based techniques. With 13 documented publications, her research spans topics like PVDF membrane applications, microbial degradation of biopolymers (e.g., chitosan), and the ecological impact of technosoils.
Sweta’s contributions include advancements in curd production techniques, rapid bacterial sensors for aquaculture, and anti-fouling membranes for water treatment. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges microbiology, environmental science, and biotechnology, addressing challenges in agriculture, water safety, and industrial waste management.
