Swathi Ganesan

Swathi Ganesan serves as the Deputy Associate Dean for the Computer Science Department and Programme Director for the MSc Data Science at York St John University's London campus. She leads curriculum design, program development, and quality assurance while also serving on the Senior Academic Leadership Team (SALT) and School Quality Panel (SQP). Her academic leadership focuses on ensuring rigorous standards, industry alignment, and high student satisfaction.

Dr. Ganesan specializes in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning with particular emphasis on medical applications. Her research bridges technology and healthcare, developing innovative solutions using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Generative AI to address critical challenges in medical diagnostics and healthcare delivery. She has published over 15 peer-reviewed papers exploring AI applications across diverse domains including medical imaging, education technology, and cybersecurity.

Her publication portfolio reveals a strong focus on practical AI applications with significant emphasis on medical diagnostics (breast cancer, thyroid abnormalities, Covid-19), educational technology (ChatGPT in education, metaverse applications), and security applications (fraud detection, deepfake technology).
