Sven Steinbach

Professor Sven Steinbach is a faculty member at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences, serving in the Faculty of Building Services Engineering and Computer Science. He holds leadership roles as Director of the Institute for Building Physics Quality Assurance (IBQS) and Head of the Master's program in Renewable Energy Management (EEM). His work bridges academic research and practical applications in sustainable building technologies.

His research focuses on:

• Energy-efficient building design and thermodynamics
• Integration of renewable energy systems
• Building Information Modeling (BIM) for sustainability
• Advanced wood technology and bio-based construction materials

He actively contributes to industrial standards as a member of DIN committees and has held visiting positions internationally, including at the University of Bath and German University of Technology in Oman.
