Sven Möller

Sven Möller is an Assistant Professor and Emmy-Noether Junior Research Group Leader in the Department of Algebra and Number Theory at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Hamburg, Germany. He serves as Principal Investigator for the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 1624 "Higher Structures, Moduli Spaces and Integrability" and the Emmy Noether Programme project on Vertex Algebras, and is a Key researcher in the Quantum Universe cluster of excellence.

His research spans representation theory, number theory, algebraic geometry, and mathematical physics, with specific emphasis on vertex algebras, conformal field theory, braided monoidal categories, symplectic singularities, automorphic forms, and infinite-dimensional Lie algebras and their interdisciplinary connections.

Dr. Möller actively mentors PhD students Hannes Knötzele and Felipe Ruiz, Master's student Dang Dang, and supervises postdocs Dr. Thibault Juillard and Dr. Christopher Raymond (affiliated through SFB 1624). His funded research includes the Emmy Noether project "Vertex Algebras Associated with 2- and 4-dimensional Conformal Field Theories" and collaborative leadership in the Modular Forms and Representation Theory workshop (2022).

He operates within the Algebra and Number Theory research group at Universität Hamburg's Geomatikum building (Room 314), contributing to the university's mathematical physics initiatives and the Quantum Universe cluster's theoretical framework.
