Dr. Sven Kunze is a Research Fellow and Project Manager in the Department of Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems. He holds a PhD in Economics from Heidelberg University, where his doctoral research focused on the economic impacts of climate-related disasters and political economy analysis of disaster management. He completed postdoctoral research at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (2021–2023), examining climate change effects on agricultural land use. His expertise includes econometric analysis of climate and environmental questions, big data analytics, and GIS-based methodologies. Current research emphasizes climate change adaptation, environmental economics, and green growth strategies in Eastern Europe.
