معرفی
Svein Sunde is a Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His primary research focuses on electrochemical systems, including water electrolysis, fuel cells, and the development of advanced electrocatalysts. He has contributed extensively to understanding the mechanisms of oxygen evolution reactions (OER) and hydrogen evolution reactions (HER), particularly in alkaline and acidic environments. His work emphasizes material design, electrochemical modeling, and the optimization of electrode materials for energy conversion systems.
Research Interests:
- Electrochemistry and electrocatalyst design for renewable energy applications
- Water electrolysis and fuel cell technologies
- Core-shell electrocatalysts and nanomaterials
- In situ characterization of electrochemical processes
- Stability and durability of electrocatalysts under operational conditions
Publications highlight advancements in nickel-based catalysts, iridium-tantalum oxide anodes, and microfluidic electrochemical systems. His studies often combine experimental techniques with computational modeling to elucidate reaction mechanisms and material behaviors. Collaborations with industry and academic partners focus on translating laboratory innovations into scalable energy solutions.
