She holds a BSc in Psychology (University of East Anglia, 2013) and a PhD from the University of Warwick (2020), where she researched early years support for children with developmental disabilities. Research areas include neurodivergence, mental health in neurodevelopmental conditions, and positive behavioral support. She leads the Embracing Complexity research group (funded by Emerging Minds) and collaborates with the Restraint Reduction Network. Key contributions include systematic reviews on autistic mental healthcare and policy-focused reports on PBS in UK schools.
She is part of the University of Kent’s Disability Staff Network, leveraging her lived experience as an autistic individual with mental health challenges to advocate for inclusive research practices. Ongoing projects explore neighborhood deprivation impacts on early intervention access and co-production methods in neurodevelopmental research.
