Suzanne Agan is a Part-Time Lecturer in Environmental Science at the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology at Kennesaw State University, where she has been since 2019. She also serves as an Associate Professor at American Public University System (APUS) and an Assistant Professor at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). Her work bridges conservation biology, wildlife management, and social psychology to address human-wildlife conflict, particularly in red wolf recovery efforts.

- MS in Wildlife Science (2004) from Texas A&M University; BS in Biology & Physiological Psychology (1995) from University of North Carolina
Her research focuses on poaching risk for endangered species, integrating GIS, ecological modeling, and social variables to inform conservation strategies. She has published extensively on red wolf survival and co-authored a manuscript in progress analyzing spatial poaching risks in Northeastern North Carolina.
She has received the Outstanding Part-Time Teaching Award (2025) from Kennesaw State University and was recognized as an Instructional Champion (2024) at APUS. Her work has been featured in The Nation, National Geographic, and The Wildlife Society, with presentations on sustainable agriculture in Kenya and red wolf conservation.
