Sushanta Mallick

Professor Sushanta Mallick is a Professor of International Finance at Queen Mary University of London's School of Business and Management. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick and has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles. He serves as Managing Editor of Oxford Economic Papers and Co-editor-in-Chief of Journal of Economic Surveys. His research focuses on international finance, banking stability, and development economics.

Education: PhD in Economics (University of Warwick, 1995–1998); MA (Hyderabad); BA (Utkal).

Research interests include international macroeconomics, financial stability, and poverty measurement. His work bridges macroeconomic policy and micro-level firm behavior, with recent studies on gender pay gaps, firm financing in China, and UK productivity trends.

Key roles include editorial leadership in top journals and academic advising of over 10 PhD students. His research has been funded by grants exploring topics such as financial inclusion, innovation, and fiscal policy in emerging economies.
