Susanne Severinsson is a Senior Associate Professor in Pedagogic Practices at Linköping University's Department of Behavioural Sciences and Learning (IBL), affiliated with the Division of Education, Teaching and Learning (PEDI). She holds a doctoral degree in Pedagogic Practices (2010), a Master's in Special Education, and a Bachelor's in Social Work. Her research focuses on social vulnerability, schooling, and institutional practices affecting children/adolescents, using posthumanistic and Actor-Network Theory frameworks.
Key research areas include: 1) Social security in schools, 2) Children in care systems, and 3) Educational technology (e.g., BookBot reading robot project). She teaches special needs education and supervises PhD candidate Sofia Boo studying special education interventions.
