Susanne Leitner

Susanne Leitner is Junior Professor for Inclusive Education with focus on emotional and social development at Ludwigsburg University of Education. Her research adopts discrimination-critical perspectives on working with disadvantaged youth, particularly refugees and trauma-affected populations.

Her work focuses on trauma-informed educational approaches, refugee support systems, and inclusive practices for marginalized youth. She develops pedagogical frameworks addressing intersectional challenges in educational settings.

Professor Leitner contributes to professional networks including the German Society for Educational Science and Refugee Council of Baden-Württemberg. She coordinates projects on social inclusion of young refugees and develops resources for trauma-sensitive education.
