Susanna Nordmark is a Senior Lecturer and researcher at Linnaeus University's Department of Computer Science and Media Technology, Faculty of Technology. She holds a PhD in Computer Science and Information Systems. Her primary focus is on Educational Technology (EdTech), exploring how digital tools enhance education at organizational and user levels. Nordmark co-leads the EdTechLnu research group, focusing on three core areas: developing educational technology, studying technology-informed teaching, and implementing digital solutions in schools.
Educationally, she coordinates the LNU Master's Program in Educational Technology and teaches across computer science, media technology, interaction design, and systems development programs. She supervises bachelor’s and master’s theses in these areas.
Her research projects include 'Educational Technology in Schools' (improving teacher practices via data-driven methods) and 'Digital Transformation of Communication Between School and Home' (investigating parent-school digital communication). Recent publications emphasize learning analytics dashboards, AI-driven educational interventions, and implementation science in K-12 contexts.
Nordmark is a key representative in curriculum committees and educational councils. Her work spans digital transformation, design thinking, and AI applications in education. Notable outputs include a 2018 doctoral thesis on mobile digital storytelling and collaborations with Professor Italo Masiello on implementation-informed educational technologies.
