Susanna Harris

Susanna Harris is a Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Glasgow, specializing in archaeological textiles and material culture. Her research focuses on textile analysis, dress, and iconography from prehistory to the early medieval period in Northwest Europe and the Mediterranean.

Key research interests include the material properties of ancient textiles, experimental archaeology, and the cultural significance of cloth and clothing. She leads projects such as the AHRC-funded 'Fibres and Fabrics from Must Farm Bronze Age Pile-Dwelling' and co-leads the 'Unwrapping the Galloway Hoard' initiative.
