Susan Rubman

Susan Rubman, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and a clinician at Yale New Haven Hospital. Her work focuses on behavioral sleep medicine and psychosocial aspects of organ transplantation, particularly for liver recipients and donors. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University and completed residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and VA Consortium.

She also advocates for financial neutrality in living donor transplantation and healthcare workforce resilience during crises like the pandemic.

Publications: Her work spans transplantation psychology, sleep medicine, and rare disease management. Recent studies address living donor evaluation practices, financial toxicity in liver donation, and pandemic mental health impacts on Wilson disease patients.
