Susan J. Bergeron is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Anthropology and Geography at Coastal Carolina University. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography from West Virginia University, with additional degrees from Syracuse University and Duke University. Her research focuses on virtual heritage, GIS, and immersive 3D geovisualization, including projects like Virtual Hampton and the Virtual Shikoku Pilgrimage. She is also a co-founder of the award-winning podcast VerySpatial.
