Susan Graves is an Assistant Professor at West Virginia State University, with over 35 years of professional experience in accounting and tax services. She specializes in serving individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits, offering expertise in fund accounting, grants management, and financial policy development. Susan holds a BBA in Business Management (1984, Marshall University) and an MBA (2003, Marshall University, cum laude), with additional coursework in accounting at West Virginia State University.
Her professional roles include serving on the City of Nitro Civil Service Commission, Secretary of the Nitro Area Chamber of Commerce, and Treasurer for nonprofits like the Nitro Development Authority. She has also been an adjunct instructor in accounting at BridgeValley Community and Technical College.
Key areas of focus include nonprofit financial management, QuickBooks consulting, and genealogical research. Susan recently completed certifications in Full Stack Development (Mined Minds Foundation) and Genealogical Research (Boston University). She has contributed to national task forces on accounting issues for the Alzheimer’s Association and is pursuing membership in Magna Charta, a genealogical society.
