Susan E. Mason is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Niagara University. She joined the faculty in 1979 and held administrative roles as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (1987-1997) and Vice President for Academic Affairs (1997-2002). Her academic career spans institutions including Buffalo State College and West Virginia University.

Dr. Mason's research focuses on statistics anxiety in students and memory differences in aging populations. Her teaching interests include statistics, psychology of aging, gerontology, and cross-cultural psychology, with additional emphasis on active and collaborative learning methods.
She contributes to institutional governance through roles on the Dale Association Health Association of Niagara County Volunteer Board, Dickinson College Volunteer Society, journal review panels, and university committees including Inclusive Excellence, Institutional Review Board, Ostapenko Center for Ethics in Medicine and Healthcare, and Academic Appeal Board.
