Sunny Ho

Sunny Ho is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Seattle Pacific University, affiliated with the School of Psychology, Family & Community. His research focuses on multicultural issues in counseling psychology, social class, racial trauma, and clinical supervision.

• Education: Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (APA Accredited, 2020), M.A./Ed.M. in Psychological Counseling (2014), B.S. in Psychology with Communication minor (2012), and Associate Degree in Arts and Sciences (2010).

Ho’s research explores the intersection of cultural identity, social class, and mental health. His work addresses microaggressions in therapy, acculturation challenges, and systemic barriers in clinical training for linguistic minority students.

His publications highlight trends in multicultural counseling, group psychotherapy efficacy, and stigma reduction in global mental health. Key areas include trauma studies, cross-cultural adaptation, and ethical practices in counseling.
