Her research explores robotics education as a platform for promoting culturally responsive STEM practices and embodied learning. She investigates how theme-based and project-based curricula can empower young children (ages 4-7) as active participants in technological design, particularly in communities with predominantly Latino/Latina populations. Her work emphasizes equity in early childhood technology integration and the reclamation of child-driven learning narratives.
Recent publications highlight her expertise in systematic reviews of robotics education (2018), AI readiness in early childhood teaching (2025), and gendered engagement in robotics (2022). She has collaborated with community centers to implement robotics programs for marginalized young learners.
