Sumanta Pattanaik is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Central Florida (UCF). He is affiliated with the College of Engineering and has held research and academic positions in the United States, Europe, and India.

His research focuses on computer graphics, including realistic and real-time rendering, material modeling, high dynamic range imaging, and medical volume visualization. He has contributed to the development of advanced rendering and visualization techniques.
