Suman Maity is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He has held postdoctoral positions at MIT (hosted by Prof. Roger Levy) and Northwestern University (at CSSI and NICO). He earned his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur under Prof. Animesh Mukherjee.

- B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Durgapur (2007-2011)
His research spans Social Computing, Science of Science, Social NLP, and Responsible Machine Learning, focusing on interdisciplinary problems at the intersection of human behavior and computational systems. His work has been published in venues like WWW, ICWSM, ACL, and Physical Review E.
