Sulyman Abdulkareem is a PhD candidate at the University of Surrey's Institute for Communication Systems, part of the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering. His research focuses on network intrusion detection using machine learning techniques, specifically addressing challenges in IoT security and data preprocessing.

Research Interests: Network security, decision support systems, IT strategy, and machine learning applications in cybersecurity. His work emphasizes improving classification performance through feature selection (FI-PCA) and ensemble learning (Stack ELC), while addressing class imbalance via SMOTE.
