Her research centers on entrepreneurship education in Dutch secondary schools, investigating pedagogical frameworks, program standards, and norm development. Her work consistently bridges academic research and practical classroom application, particularly through gamified learning approaches.
She received the EntreComp Champion Award in November 2023 for contributions to entrepreneurship education. Notable recognitions include winning the NWO Ph.D. scholarship for teachers during 2019-2020.
Göksen actively supervises educational projects including “Keuzedeel: Ondernemerschap” (2023-2024) and presents research at international conferences such as the ECSB Entrepreneurship Education Conference. Her media contributions include radio features on entrepreneurship education with Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences colleagues.
She maintains active collaborations with Maastricht University researchers (Wakkee, Martina, Groot) and international partners including Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal, through the UNLOCK project. Her work with CAREM positions her at the nexus of applied business research and educational innovation within the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences ecosystem.
