Dr. Sujit Biswas is a Lecturer in Cybersecurity and FinTech at the Department of Computer Science, City, University of London. He also holds an honorary Research Associate position at the Centre for Blockchain Technologies (CBT), University College London (UCL). His academic journey includes prior roles at the University of East London, University of Surrey, and Faridpur Engineering College, Bangladesh. He earned his PhD in Computer Science and Technology from the Beijing Institute of Technology, China.
His research spans blockchain, FinTech, cybersecurity, federated learning, IoT, and AI-driven healthcare systems. He is particularly known for his work on consensus algorithms, blockchain interoperability, privacy-preserving systems, and scalable distributed architectures. His interdisciplinary research bridges theoretical innovation with practical applications in finance, healthcare, and smart cities.
The recent publications of Dr. Biswas reflect a strong trend in integrating blockchain with AI and IoT, especially in secure, privacy-preserving frameworks for smart homes, vehicular networks, and e-health. His work increasingly emphasizes explainable AI, zero-trust security models, and sustainable, scalable solutions for 6G and next-generation networks.

Dr. Biswas actively mentors research students, including Qasim and Tooba, and collaborates with industry partners such as FinTechFish for the UnityAgro project.
