Sujata Saha is an Associate Professor of Economics at Wabash College and Chair of the Asian Studies Program. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics from the University of Calcutta, India.
Her research focuses on International Finance and Trade, Open Economy Macroeconomics, and Financial Inclusion. Recent publications analyze asymmetric effects of exchange rate volatility, oil prices, and policy uncertainty on trade, investment, and stock markets in Asia and the U.S.

Sujata teaches courses such as Principles of Economics, Financial Markets and Institutions, International Trade, and Senior Seminar on Financial Crises. She has also volunteered in programs like Make a Difference – Wisconsin and Upward Bound, teaching personal finance and tutoring high school students.
