Dr Sue Twine is an Adjunct Research Professor in Carleton University's Department of Biology and leads Mass Spectrometry facilities at the National Research Council’s Human Health Therapeutics Research Centre. Her research applies analytical techniques to understand bacterial pathogen interactions with human hosts and advance vaccine and biologic development.
Twine's work focuses on bacterial glycobiology and immunoproteomics, examining how post-translational modifications influence host colonization and immune responses. Her publications demonstrate extensive expertise in glycoprotein characterization using advanced mass spectrometry methods.
Recent research includes novel methods for glycoproteomic analysis, MHC peptide identification for cancer vaccines, and applications in antibiotic resistance and nutrition science. She contributes to student training programs at the National Research Council and welcomes research collaborations.
