Sue Nang is a Researcher in the Department of Microbiology at Monash University, affiliated with the Biomedicine Discovery Institute (BDI) and the Laboratory of Antimicrobial Systems Pharmacology. She completed her PhD in Microbiology at Monash University in 2020, following a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons). Her research focuses on antimicrobial resistance, particularly therapeutic phage development for drug-resistant infections, and she is a member of the Monash Centre to Impact AMR and Monash Phage Foundry (MPF).
Key affiliations include:
- Monash University – Department of Microbiology (BDI)
- Monash Centre to Impact AMR
- AMR Insights Ambassador
- Monash Phage Foundry (MPF)
Research interests emphasize phage therapy, pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling, and systems biology approaches to combat antimicrobial resistance. Projects include:
- "ADVANCING PERSONALISED BACTERIOPHAGE THERAPY" (2024–2026)
- "Revolutionising phage therapy: Integration of modern pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modelling" (2022–2023)
Her peer-reviewed contributions span journals like *Clinical Microbiology and Infection*, *Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy*, and *GigaScience*. She actively contributes to global efforts like the World Antibiotic Awareness Week AMRelay event (2021).
