Dr. Sue Malloy is a Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator at the School of Nursing, San José State University, with a 36-year faculty tenure and 46+ years of clinical nursing experience. She holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum & Higher Education (Nova University, 1994), a Master's in Nursing Education (University of Nebraska Omaha, 1981), a BSN (University of Utah, 1979), and a Diploma in Nursing (St Joseph's - Omaha, NE).
Her research focuses on nursing education innovation, including clinical placement strategies, evidence-based practice frameworks, and leadership development. Key areas include QSEN integration, technology-enhanced learning, NCLEX preparation, and multidimensional mentoring programs for BSN students.
Her publications and presentations analyze accelerated BSN programs, peer support interventions, and the use of position statements to validate nursing practice. She has collaborated extensively with colleagues like Dr. DeNatale, Dr. Mayer, and Dr. Stuenkel on curriculum design and student success initiatives.
