Sue K. DiGiovanni

Sue K. DiGiovanni, M.D., is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She obtained her MD from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1990 and completed a Psychiatry Residency (1991-1994) and Internship (1990-1991) at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.

Her clinical and academic focus centers on psychiatry, particularly mood disorders and medical education. She has contributed to research on psychopharmacology, including studies on quetiapine and risperidone for serious mood disorders, and evaluated training programs for psychiatric residents.

Dr. DiGiovanni joined the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) faculty in 1999 as the Associate Residency Training Director. She currently serves as the Associate Chair for Clinical Services and Chief of the URMC Adult Psychiatry Division, maintaining a non-clinical role in education and leadership.
