Sue Alberti is a full-time Instructor in the Department of Human Services and Restorative Justice within the School of Arts and Sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology. She transitioned from Adjunct Faculty status in 2014 to full-time teaching in 2024 after completing a 36-year career in direct human services practice.
Her educational qualifications include:
- M.S. in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph’s University
- B.A. in Sociology/Social Welfare from Bloomsburg University
- A.A.S. in Criminal Justice from Luzerne County Community College
Alberti's professional expertise spans community-based youth services, secure residential facilities, Batterer’s Intervention Programs, case management, and program development in drug/alcohol rehabilitation and trauma recovery. She actively contributes to community initiatives as a domestic violence/mental health panelist, teen pregnancy prevention coalition member, and suicide prevention/crisis intervention trainer. Her teaching philosophy centers on developing future "Agents of Change" who demonstrate integrity and drive community transformation through practical application of restorative justice principles.
She has facilitated educational groups for high-risk populations, developed evidence-based interventions for trauma survivors, and provided specialized training for community organizations addressing domestic violence and mental health crises.
