Subhankar Mandal is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the ATLAS Institute, University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on polymer synthesis, tough hydrogels, flexible electronics, and wearable sensors, bridging disciplines from organic chemistry to material science and engineering.
Education: PhD in Polymer Materials from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, India. Previously, he worked as a Research Associate at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, developing surface-modified composites and hydrogels for smart wearable sensors.
Research Interests: Synthesis and characterization of polymeric hydrogels, flexible batteries, soft actuators, and microfluidics-based microgel self-assembly. His work integrates interdisciplinary approaches to advance soft materials and wearable technology.
Outside research, Mandal engages in creative pursuits such as painting, photography, 3D art, and design.
