Su Ji Hong is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on algebraic combinatorics, lattice polytopes, cluster algebras, and triangulations, particularly exploring integer decomposition properties of lattice polytopes and their structural comparisons under dilation. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, alongside a master’s and bachelor’s in mathematics and physics.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Physics (California Lutheran University), Master’s and PhD in Mathematics (University of Nebraska-Lincoln).
Her research investigates polytopes with permutation-invariant coordinates and their applications in higher-dimensional geometry. She emphasizes teaching excellence, having completed programs such as Project NExT (Mathematical Association of America) and the Yale University Faculty Teaching Academy.
