Su Jeong Kang is an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science at Providence College, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on algebraic geometry, Hodge theory, and motivic cohomology, with notable contributions to understanding cohomology structures of singular varieties and Fermat varieties.
- Ph.D., Purdue University (2006)
- M.S., Yonsei University (1997), specializing in Fuzzy Topology and Convergence
- B.S., Yonsei University (1995)
Her scholarly work explores topics such as motivic dimension, Chern classes, and the interplay between algebraic cycles and cohomology theories. Recent publications address the smooth center of cohomology in singular varieties and Beilinson's Hodge conjecture.
She has received grants including the AWM-NSF Mentoring Travel Grant for Women and the Summer Scholar Award from Providence College, supporting her research on coniveau filtration and algebraic cycles.
