Stéphanie Chevalier, RD, PhD is an Associate Professor at the School of Human Nutrition within the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at McGill University. She also holds a Scientist position at the Metabolic Disorders and Complications Program in the Centre for Translational Biology at the RI-MUHC Glen site. Her academic affiliations extend to the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine and Endocrinology at MUHC.
Research Interests: Stéphanie's work focuses on protein metabolism alterations leading to muscle loss in aging populations and those with metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cancer cachexia. Her research employs stable isotope tracer methodology for quantifying muscle protein synthesis and degradation through metabolic studies and randomized clinical trials. Current projects include nutritional supplement interventions for geriatric patients, Dairy intake analysis in the NuAge longitudinal study, and gut microbiome comparisons in fibromyalgia patients.
