Dr Stuart R Hanscomb is a Senior Lecturer in Social & Environmental Sustainability at the University of Glasgow, with affiliations at the Crichton Campus. He holds a PhD in Existentialism from Durham University and has taught philosophy and psychology at institutions including Durham, Stirling, and Edinburgh Universities. His research focuses on critical thinking, existentialism, virtue theory, and the psychology/philosophy of higher education, particularly student experience and authenticity.
