Strungaru-Jijie Roxana

Dr. Strungaru-Jijie Roxana is an Associate Professor affiliated with the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi, working within the RAMTECH Center under the Department of Exact and Natural Sciences. She holds dual PhD degrees in Physics and Materials Science, with expertise in nanomaterials, thin films, and biomedical applications.

• Education: Bachelor's in Medical Physics, Master's in Plasma Physics, Spectroscopy, and Self-Organization from the Faculty of Physics, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi; PhD in Physics (2016) and Materials Science from Lille 1 University.

Her research focuses on synthesis and characterization of nanostructures and carbon-based materials for biomedical applications. Since 2019, she has expanded her work to include environmental toxicology studies on heavy metals and microplastics using zebrafish (Danio rerio) as a model organism.

She contributes to interdisciplinary projects in environmental science and materials engineering, with ongoing work on heavy metal-organic compound interactions and aquatic microplastic pollution. Contact: roxana.jijie@uaic.ro
