Stiliani Chroni is a Professor of Sport Psychology and Sport Coaching at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, within the Faculty of Social and Health Sciences and the Department of Sports and Physical Education. She holds a BSc in Sports Science (Greece, 1991), an MSc and PhD in Sport Psychology (USA, 1994 and 1997), and a Coach Developer certification from the ICCE and NSSU Academy (Japan, 2020). She co-founded and led the Sport and Social Sciences Research Unit (2020–22) and actively contributes to safeguarding policies in sport through FEPSAC. Her research focuses on elite coach stress, athlete-to-coach transitions, and gender equity in sport. She advises athletes and coaches globally and advocates for women's rights through WomenSport International. Chroni remains an active Technical Delegate for the International Ski and Snowboard Federation.

Publications & Impact:
Her recent work addresses athlete safeguarding (FEPSAC 2025), coach transitions (2021–2024), and well-being in high-performance coaching (2024). She co-authored policy statements and peer-reviewed articles on cultural praxis, transnational academia, and national sport leadership.
Awards & Advocacy:
Chroni’s advocacy includes roles in WomenSport International’s executive and advisory boards since 2009. She has pioneered anti-harassment initiatives in Greece and Cyprus and developed mental health interventions for athletes.
Labs & Collaborations:
As co-founder of the Sport and Social Sciences Research Unit, she collaborates internationally on projects like the ‘Working with Sport Clients in Transitions’ multi-country study (2024). Her applied work includes consulting for Olympic athletes and teams, and developing coach development programs.
