Stijn Viaene is a Full Professor at KU Leuven and Partner at Vlerick Business School, specializing in digital transformation, IT management, and business process innovation. He holds a Doctorate in Information Systems Management from KU Leuven and serves as Programme Director of Take The Lead. His research focuses on leveraging technology (big data, AI, blockchain) for enterprise digitalization, with a strong emphasis on leadership, agility, and business-IT alignment. He is the author of Digital Transformation Know How: Connecting digital transformation, agility and leadership and teaches across MBA, Executive Development, and Digital Leadership programs. Recent work explores AI-driven leadership, blockchain platforms for sustainability, and intra-organizational labor platforms. He also serves as Jury President for the Data News Awards and Board Member at Herita vzw.
Education: Doctor in Information Systems Management (KU Leuven). Research interests include digital innovation ecosystems, process management, and governance frameworks for digital value creation.
