Stig Irving Olsen

Stig Irving Olsen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), specializing in Quantitative Sustainability Assessment. His research focuses on environmental assessment of products and systems across their life cycles, with particular emphasis on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), micro/nanotechnologies, and circular economy principles.

Notably, Olsen received the DTU Award for Developing Teaching and Learning (2023) and contributes to education development integrating circular economy concepts. His research spans collaborations with EU framework projects, focusing on sustainable technologies and their planetary impact pathways.
