Steven Wyler

Steven Wyler, Ph.D., is an Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Hypothalamic Research Center. He joined the faculty in 2022.

Education:

• Bachelor's in Biology, Brigham Young University-Idaho
• Doctorate in Neurosciences, Case Western Reserve University
• Postdoctoral Fellowship in Metabolism under Dr. Joel Elmquist at UT Southwestern

Research Interests: Focused on hypothalamic research, metabolism regulation, mice model studies, and serotonin receptor mechanisms. His work explores the neural circuits governing energy balance and metabolic homeostasis.

Labs/Teams: Active member of the Hypothalamic Research Center, collaborating on interdisciplinary projects related to neural control of metabolism.
