Steven Wall is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Arizona, specializing in political philosophy, liberalism, and perfectionism. He co-edits Oxford Studies in Political Philosophy and authored Liberalism, Perfectionism and Restraint (Cambridge University Press). His current research examines political legitimacy, public justification, and moral authority.
Wall's work integrates ethical theory with political practice, addressing topics like distributive justice, democratic fairness, and the rule of law. Recent publications explore hybrid theories of well-being and fairness in resource allocation. He received the Sir Ernest Barker Prize (1997) and Rockefeller Fellowship (2002-03).
