Steven Van Den Broucke

Steven Van Den Broucke is a Lecturer in Tropical Medicine at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) in Antwerp, Belgium, and serves as Unit Head for Tropical Infectious Diseases. He holds a Master's degree in Tropical Medicine and has over 20 years of experience in internal medicine, including 5 years in emergency medicine. His expertise spans clinical decision-making, tropical diseases, and HIV management in low-resource settings. He currently chairs the Flemish steering committee for the interuniversity clinical infectiology curriculum and leads WikiTropica, an educational resource for tropical medicine. His research focuses on neglected tropical illnesses, clinical diagnostics, and the impact of climate change on infectious diseases.
