Prof. Dr. Steven Poelmans is a faculty member at Antwerp Management School, holding academic roles as Professor of Leadership and Senior Lecturer in the Executive PhD program's Personal & Academic Development Track. He is also a Professor of Self-Leadership at the EFMD's Executive Academy. His expertise spans organizational behavior, neuroleadership, and employee well-being, with over 30 scientific journal articles, 28 book chapters, and 8 authored books.
Education: Masters in Organizational Psychology (KU Leuven), Marketing Management (Vlerick Management School), and a PhD in Management/Organizational Behavior (IESE Business School). He holds a postgraduate in Neuroscience of Leadership (Middlesex University).
Research focuses on work-family dynamics, leadership development, and neurophysiological approaches to leadership training. He founded the NeuroTrainingLab™, a leadership method using competency assessments and neurophysiological data. His work is recognized by the Work-Family Researchers Network (Top 50 contributor, 2018).
He has coached over 250 executives globally and actively contributes to professional networks like the European Academy of Management and the Academy of Management.
