Dr. Steven Miller serves as a Senior Lecturer and Docent at Stockholm University's Department of Economic History and International Relations. His research investigates the intersection of international conflict and political behavior through statistical analysis and machine learning methodologies.
His recent work focuses on constructing comprehensive datasets like the Militarized Interstate Events (MIE) dataset and Militarized Interstate Confrontation (MIC) dataset, both covering 1816-2014 with innovative fatality estimation and dyadic conflict modeling. He also developed the {peacesciencer} R package for peace science data creation.
