Steven Maguire is Professor and Deputy Dean (Research) at the University of Sydney Business School, where he leads the research enterprise component of the Business School's 2023-27 strategy focused on industry, government, and academic engagement. His educational background includes a BSc (Honours) from Queen's University, MBA from UBC, and PhD from HEC-Montréal.
Research interests center on organizational identity construction, complexity management in business ecosystems, and risk institutionalization processes. His work examines how organizational fields evolve through discourse and institutional entrepreneurship.
Significant grants include co-funding for postdoctoral positions and Genome Canada projects on endocrine-disrupting chemicals replacement strategies.
