Research focuses on applied industry/government challenges involving: at-scale cyber-security systems, software engineering for cloud-deployed systems, and data science for societal problems. His work integrates theoretical disciplines like dynamical systems theory, stochastic processes, and game theory to address challenges in smart grids, autonomous vehicles, and smart cities. He directed the ASPIRe Centre and contributed to NSERC's ISSNet strategic network.
Key collaborations include the US Navy-funded SBIR project, the Smart Cybersecurity Network (SERENE-RISC), and industry partnerships like Tutela Systems and EchoSec Systems. His InSPiRe lab utilizes a 60-machine research cluster and HPC resources. He actively engages students and researchers through his laboratory's positions program.
