Stephen Sylvester

Stephen Sylvester is an Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance at Palm Beach Atlantic University’s School of Education and Behavioral Studies. He joined the university as an adjunct instructor in 2004 and transitioned to full-time faculty in 2006.

• Owner of In-Town Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation (since 1993)
• Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer (American College of Sports Medicine)
• Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (National Strength and Conditioning Association)

His research interests focus on exercise science and sports rehabilitation, particularly in injury prevention for marathon runners and cancer patient rehabilitation. He actively collaborates with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program.

Dr. Sylvester earned his DPT in Physical Therapy from Boston University and BS in Health Education from the University of Florida. He resides in West Palm Beach with his children, Elizabeth and Jack, and is a parishioner at St. Juliana Catholic Church.
