Professor Stephen Robinson is a neuroscientist at RMIT University's Health and Biomedical Sciences department, holding a Professor rank. With a B.Sc. from Adelaide University and a PhD from UNSW, he specializes in neurosciences, clinical sciences, and biochemistry. His research focuses on Alzheimer's disease, sleep apnea, and vibration's impact on cognition. He previously led Psychology departments at Monash University and RMIT, and co-founded NeuroTest Pty. Ltd., a cognitive assessment tech company. His 175+ papers have garnered over 44,000 citations, including high-impact journals like Nature and Science. As part of the Global Burden of Disease consortium, he contributed to Lancet studies on neurological disorders.
Research interests span Alzheimer's etiology, driver cognition, and gut-brain axis interactions. He has held leadership roles at the Brain Foundation (2006-2022) and secured grants from ARC/NHMRC.
