Stephen R. Diasio

Stephen R. Diasio is an Instructor II at the University of South Florida's Kate Tiedemann College of Business. He holds an M.B.A. from Dominican University and a Ph.D. in Management Science from ESADE Business School (Spain). His expertise spans innovation management, strategic management, and organizational design. Diasio has been recognized with the 2015-2016 Quality Matters designation for MAN 3025 and the 2016-2017 Best Paper in Innovation SIG award from the European Academy of Management Conference.

His research focuses on techno-social aspects of innovation jams, open innovation contests, and organizational models for fostering creativity. Recent work includes studies on IBM's innovation jams and the application of 'jamband' metaphors to business innovation. Diasio teaches courses such as Principles of Management, Strategic Management/Decision Making, and Innovation & Management Design Thinking. He actively bridges academic research with practical business leadership, emphasizing innovation as a tool for organizational impact.
